It is important to make sure that all of our services are delivered efficiently and to a good standard. This particularly includes services that are delivered to all households and every community. This is the core of our strategy. 

We know that our communities expect us to do more and go further which is why we have developed four key focus areas for the next four years:-  

• Climate and Biodiversity 
• Housing 
• Economy 
• Community services

For each of these focus areas our strategy sets out an ambition statement, priorities and initial actions. 

We know that we cannot achieve these aims alone. Working with our communities, and where possible, supporting them to achieve their own local ambitions will also be an important consideration for the Council.

Our aims and ambitions have been consolidated into a corporate strategy, a document which is a commitment to our communities and one which we can be measured against.
